Mechanical / Plumbing / Electrical Engineer (PE)

Location: Dallas, TX (Relocation Assistance Available)

Salary: $160,000 – $190,000 per year

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with expertise in Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical systems design to lead engineering projects and drive high-quality deliverables. This is a senior-level role involving design ownership, team coordination, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems for projects
  • Prepare and review engineering design documents in line with company standards
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure fully integrated designs
  • Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Manage QA/QC reviews prior to project submissions
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on staffing needs, timelines, and budgets
  • Assign tasks and guide junior engineers and design staff
  • Review and manage discipline-specific budget hours
  • Build and maintain client relationships to support repeat business

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) – Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
  • Proven experience in design and coordination of MEP systems
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, QA/QC processes, and documentation standards
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in consulting engineering / design firms
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams and project deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Client-facing experience with business development exposure
