Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with expertise in Mechanical, Plumbing, or Electrical systems design to lead engineering projects and drive high-quality deliverables. This is a senior-level role involving design ownership, team coordination, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems for projects
- Prepare and review engineering design documents in line with company standards
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure fully integrated designs
- Monitor project progress to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Manage QA/QC reviews prior to project submissions
- Collaborate with Project Managers on staffing needs, timelines, and budgets
- Assign tasks and guide junior engineers and design staff
- Review and manage discipline-specific budget hours
- Build and maintain client relationships to support repeat business
Required Qualifications
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Proven experience in design and coordination of MEP systems
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle, QA/QC processes, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in consulting engineering / design firms
- Strong leadership experience managing teams and project deliverables
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Client-facing experience with business development exposure
