Echo Architecture are an international operation with studios in London and Riyadh working in close partnership to design, develop and deliver a variety of large-scale commercial projects.

Echo’s London Studio, located in the heart of W1W, are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer and an Electrical Engineer with around 2-5 years industry experience to support on large scale Retail projects.

You would be working within a focused unit, guided by senior Engineers, where you will exercise problem solving skills, a self-motivated attitude, and the ability to work autonomously, taking responsibility across an array of daily tasks.

Main MEP Tasks and Responsibilities:

Production and issuance of MEP design drawings (LOD) to retail tenants.

Conducting MEP design reviews of tenant’s submissions based on the issued LODs and TDM parameters.

Mechanical Engineering drawing production type:

· HVAC System (including heat load calculation by HAB)

· Ventilation

· Fire Fighting Systems

· Water Supply System

· Drainage System

· Condensate System

· LPG System

· Any other Mechanical or related systems as required

Electrical Engineering drawing production type:

· Lighting

· Power

· Fire Alarm

· Data Network

· CCTV

· Access Control

· Music/Public Address

· Emergency/Exit Lighting

· Any other Electrical or related systems as required.

Skills Required:

· Software – AutoCAD, essential for both positions.

Heat Load Calculation Apps, applicable to Mechanical Engineer position only.

· Relevant degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

· Ideally 2 – 5 years industry experience.

· Retail based project experience is highly desirable.

These positions are being offered on a 6 month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension based on project availability. Ideally suited for individuals based in the UK with full right to work. As this is a remote position, with the option to attend the London office, candidates applying should ensure they have suitable equipment/ remote work set up in order to undertake this position effectively.
