Merchant Acquiring Risk and Governance Manager - Job Description:

The Merchant Acquiring Risk and Governance Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing guidance on merchant acquiring operations conducted by the bank’s subsidiary and partners. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and card brand requirements while maintaining effective governance and risk management.

Merchant Acquiring Risk and Governance Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the bank and its subsidiary for merchant acquiring oversight matters.
  • Oversee the approval and challenge of underwriting decisions for merchants, ISOs, and large exposures.
  • Review and evaluate new business verticals proposed by the bank subsidiary.
  • Develop and maintain formal risk analyses for business verticals, ISOs, and large merchants.
  • Oversee underwriting, risk, and compliance audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Merchant Acquiring Risk and Governance Manager - Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of merchant acquiring operations, including underwriting and risk management.
  • Ability to evaluate new business models and partner structures from a risk perspective.
  • Experience reviewing policies and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and merchant processing systems.
