About the Role The Investment & M&A Analyst will be an integral part of our deal execution team. You will be responsible for the fundamental "heavy lifting" of the investment process—from conducting deep-dive industry research and financial modeling to managing data rooms and communicating with stakeholders. This role requires a blend of sharp analytical skills, commercial curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced advisory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Due Diligence & Execution: Participate in all stages of investment due diligence, including market sizing, competitor mapping, customer surveys, and management references.
- Deal Sourcing & Screening: Actively search for and screen potential investment targets and strategic M&A opportunities that align with client mandates.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, Comps), and specialized financial reports.
- Investment Collateral: Draft high-quality investment memos, teasers, and Information Memorandums (CIM) for internal review and external investor presentations.
- Virtual Data Room (VDR) Management: Organize and manage client datarooms, ensuring all financial, legal, and operational documents are prepared for Q&A sessions.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of technology and regulatory trends across Southeast Asia, East Asia, the US, and India to provide actionable insights for clients.
- Stakeholder Support: Assist the management team in marketing efforts, client pitches, and administrative operations vital to the firm’s success.
Requirements
Experience & Education:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Private Equity, or Venture Capital.
- Fresh Graduates: We welcome applications from high-achieving fresh graduates, provided you have completed at least one relevant internship in a boutique advisory, Investment Bank, Big Four (Corporate Finance/Deals), or a dedicated M&A/Strategy department.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Financial Acumen: Strong working knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies.
- Analytical Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to distill complex data into clear, concise insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. You must be comfortable presenting ideas to senior management and external parties.
- Software Proficiency: Expert level in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.) or data visualization tools is considered a significant plus.
- Mindset: Highly motivated, proactive, and possessing an exceptional work ethic. You should be able to work independently while remaining a collaborative team player.
