With a multi-gigawatt portfolio spanning dozens of markets, this organization is at the forefront of transforming the continent's electric grid and they're hiring a Mid to Senior level Energy Storage SCADA Control Field Engineer to design, build, and operate the plant control infrastructure that keeps utility-scale battery storage assets running reliably in wholesale power markets.

This isn't monitoring from a desk. You'll program PPCs, HMIs, and RTUs. You'll commission plants in the field. You'll troubleshoot complex OT problems in real time and serve as the go-to subject matter expert for control and instrumentation systems across the fleet.

What you'll own:

• BESS Controls Field Engineer / Renewables SCADA Integrator - Design, implementation, and operation of SCADA/control system infrastructure across utility-scale BESS sites
• BESS Controls Field Engineer / Renewables SCADA Integrator - PPC, HMI, and RTU programming with full technical documentation
• BESS Controls Field Engineer / Renewables SCADA Integrator - Plant automation reliability — network uptime, performance management, cybersecurity
• BESS Controls Field Engineer / Renewables SCADA Integrator - On-site construction support and commissioning at new plant locations
• BESS Control Field Engineer / Renewables SCADA Integrator - Cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external EPC vendors

What you bring:

• 5+ years in controls/SCADA engineering — renewable energy or power industry strongly preferred; BA/BS required — electrical engineering preferred
• Hands-on with Inductive Automation Ignition, Schneider Modicon PLCs, SEL RTACs, Novatech Orions
• Fluent in DNP3, Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT
• Programming chops in Python, IEC 61131-3, C/C++/C#
• Deep understanding of BESS use cases — PFR, FFR, black start
• NERC/CIP/NIST cybersecurity knowledge
• Experience in the following type of roles: Renewables Control Systems Commissioning Engineer, BESS Field Service Engineer, PLC Programmer, Senior Systems Integration Engineer, SCADA integrator, Senior SCADA Engineer, Renewables Control Systems Engineer OT Engineer, Energy Management System (EMS) Engineer, Operational Technology Engineer, P&C Field Specialist, Protection & Controls Technician

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
