As an MIS Product Configurator and Data Analyst, you’ll architect and implement the data, product logic, and integrations that power seamless movement from sales quotation to shop-floor execution, playing a critical cross-functional role bridging Sales, Engineering, and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain configuration logic and product models for a diverse catalog within the CIS Configurator.
- Translate manufacturing, pricing, and sales business rules into fully automated system logic, including handling complex SKUs and custom specifications.
- Oversee and optimize master data, including multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and accurate inventory management in SAP Business One.
- Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) for new configurations, ensuring seamless order-to-cash workflows and error-free production orders.
- Extract and standardize tribal manufacturing knowledge into digital logic, ensuring legacy processes transition effectively to new systems.
- Utilize SQL and Excel for advanced data modeling, analytics, margin audits, and troubleshooting system data discrepancies.
- Integrate and support EDI/API-based data flows and middleware connections between ERP, MES, and WMS platforms.
- Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for configuration rules, ensuring sustainable and scalable process improvements.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years' experience in manufacturing systems with primary responsibility over product structures, BOMs, and routings.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP Business One and the CIS Configurator (or similar rules-based CPQ/configuration software).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data modeling, analysis, and troubleshooting across integrated platforms.
- Strong skills in building configurable BOMs, defining routing logic, and managing master data to support MRP and MES.
- Advanced Excel capabilities for system auditing, margin analysis, and reporting.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with EDI/API-based integrations or middleware connecting ERP, MES, and WMS.
- Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (LYNQ MES), warehouse management systems (WiSys WMS), or past work transitioning from AS/400-based systems.
- Background in plastics, discrete manufacturing, or highly configurable product environments.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional communication between sales, operations, and engineering teams.
- Ability to develop, document, and train teams on Standard Operating Procedures for configuration tools and processes.
