Job Description:

The Model Risk Management Specialist will oversee consulting projects primarily aimed at enhancing model risk management practices for various financial services clients. Your role will involve providing model validation services focused on credit risk, finance, and treasury management models, including asset liability management, liquidity, and interest rate risk.

  • Lead, mentor, and review the work of consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage all phases of client service projects from planning through execution and delivery.
  • Establish trust with clients by offering actionable recommendations and solutions.
  • Support business development through targeting potential clients and crafting compelling proposals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and client challenges to innovate new services and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or Economics; a graduate degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial institutions, Big 4 firms, or regulatory supervision.
  • Strong understanding of model risk management regulations (e.g., SR 11-7, OCC 2011-12).
  • Familiarity with various credit risk model types, including CECL, PD/LGD, and stress testing.
  • Experience in performing model validations and development, including back testing and stress testing.
  • Proficiency in data processing, storage, and visualization technologies.
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create clear, concise reports and presentations with actionable insights.
  • Experience in leading and managing teams effectively.
  • Ensure engagements are completed with high standards within budget constraints.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion, not to exceed 25%.

Preferred Skills:

  • Solid analytical skills and knowledge of econometrics.
  • Understanding of model governance, CECL, DFAST, CCAR, and capital allocation methods.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SAS, Python, R).
  • Experience with database management tools like SQL.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Basic understanding of trends in AI and machine learning.
  • Professional certifications such as RMA CRC, CFA, or FRM are preferred.

This role may involve verifying identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and we do not provide work authorization sponsorship at this time. The annual salary range is estimated between $106,600 and $217,900, based on experience and qualifications.
