Job Description
The Mortgage Finance Portfolio Manager facilitates the origination, underwriting, and ongoing credit management of a commercial mortgage finance loan portfolio. This role is responsible for independently preparing credit analysis and underwriting recommendations for new originations, renewals, extensions, and modifications, while ensuring compliance with the Bank's Credit Policy and underwriting standards.
The Portfolio Manager partners closely with Relationship Managers, Senior Portfolio Managers, and Credit Administration to evaluate borrower financial condition, collateral performance, and transaction structure. The position requires sound credit judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify emerging risks and policy exceptions, while escalating complex or higherrisk issues to senior credit officers as appropriate.
