Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Motor Control Center & Switchgear Design Engineer to join our innovative Power team. In this role, you will configure motor control centers and switchgear systems that power critical industrial and infrastructure applications. Your expertise will drive the creation of reliable, efficient, and safe electrical system solutions, ensuring seamless integration within complex projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge system design while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Duties

  • Configure & design Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and switchgear assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and system diagrams using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other CAD tools to visualize designs accurately
  • Coordinate with project management teams to establish project schedules, milestones, and deliverables for timely execution
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate mechanical components with electrical systems, leveraging mechanical knowledge for robust designs
  • Conduct system engineering analyses to validate design functionality, safety, and reliability before manufacturing
  • Oversee construction phases by reviewing technical drawings, supporting site inspections, and ensuring adherence to design specifications
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong foundation in system design principles
  • Proven experience in configuring Motor Control Centers (MCCs) and switchgear systems within industrial or utility environments
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering standards, safety protocols, and system integration practices
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to switchgear enclosure design and mechanical component integration
  • Experience with project scheduling tools and project management methodologies to coordinate multiple phases of design projects effectively

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
