A joint venture company between Rolls-Royce Plc and SIA Engineering Company. The company first started operations in 2001 and has since become a market leader for both engine overhaul and component repair services.
As a result of sustained business growth, SAESL has continued to expand its facilities and develop new capabilities for both its engine overhaul and component repair businesses. The Engine Overhaul business has the capability to service all products in the Trent engine family, this includes Trent 500, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 900, Trent 1000 and Trent XWB; SAESL is the only Trent engine MRO that can support all product variants. The Engine Overhaul business has the capacity to repair and overhaul over 300 Trent engines per year and it is equipped with a state-of-the-art Engine Test Facility that supports our best-in-class engine turnaround times.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform Manufacturing Engineering activities within Engine Overhaul and Component Repair production areas
- Act as Technical Authority, ensuring production methods remain capable of delivering conforming products and resolving technical issues to meet SQCD requirements (safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time)
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards and support the Zero Harm programme
- Identify and mitigate product safety risks in alignment with the Company’s Safety Management System
- Drive a zero-defect culture by ensuring processes support Right First Time (RFT) principles
- Lead and support quality investigations and manage NADCAP accreditation requirements
- Develop and deploy manufacturing processes using SPS, DMAIC, and Systems Engineering tools to improve delivery performance
- Manage FAIR/MSA activities and oversee source and method changes within the cell/area of responsibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across key processes (e.g. strip/build, balancing, runout, in-situ repair, component repair, and equipment such as ITT, VTL, BTG, wash, FTB, CMM, etc.)
- Review and update maintenance plans (MPs) to improve standardisation and delivery performance
- Support cost performance targets including productivity improvement and Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) reduction
- Deploy and sustain SAESL Operating System standards in collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within manufacturing processes and methods
- Act as Technical Authority by defining manufacturing engineering requirements and making technical decisions within scope
- Drive lean and continuous improvement initiatives, prioritising projects based on business impact and promoting best practices
- Support production readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure manufacturing capability is robust and measurable in real time
- Maintain Production Technical Packages (instructions, programmes, tooling, etc.) to ensure consistent, high-quality manufacturing performance aligned with SQCD objectives
Qualification / Experience
- Degree in Aeronautical, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (candidates with a Diploma in a related discipline and relevant experience may be considered)
- Good knowledge of high-bypass gas turbine engines
- Good understanding of material and component repair processes (e.g. welding, machining, painting, coating, etc.)
- Strong communication, analytical, engineering, and project management skills
- Strong technical problem-solving skills (Six Sigma) with a hands-on approach
