Mutual Funds Investment Specialist - Maribank

Job Description

• Outline and articulate the business vision, business objectives and the overall investments product roadmap for MariBank
• Draft detailed business requirements, review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and test cases, and manage the prioritization of product enhancements.
• Contribute valuable insights to product ideation based on strong understanding of global competitive landscape and market trends through customer and competitor market research
• Partner with cross-country teams to understand customers’ needs and pain points, translating these into actionable and effective product design
• Collaborate with product development teams to develop systems end-to-end, including the conceptualisation of customer journeys, articulation and prioritisation of business requirements, review of technical build and user testing
• Be the subject matter expert for mutual funds (unit trusts) and provide guidance to stakeholders on business strategy, product design and processes
• Manage the set up of subscription and redemption workflows, as well as operational procedures and functions with internal stakeholders
• Establish internal processes and guidelines to ensure proper product risk governance, including assessment of customer risk profile and adequate due diligence on investment products
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance and risk requirements relevant to the mutual fund products
• Engage in discussions with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve business goals (i.e. product managers, UI/UX designers, technology, operations, legal, risk, compliance, finance, marketing, fund houses and service providers etc.)

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Business or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in investment products
• Possess knowledge and understanding of the mutual funds business
• Sound understanding of related operational workflows
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to execute and manage end to end projects
• Highly passionate and have a high sense of responsibility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
