This role supports the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for a OCI Cloud Systems Engineer. This position will coordinate across multiple areas as the program supports AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.
Location
This position will be hybrid remote. Candidates will be required to work onsite as needed. Candidates need to be located near Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA) or work in Huntsville, AL.
Requirements
- We are seeking a junior-level Cloud Systems Engineer with experience in OCI. A successful individual will be experienced in designing scalable cloud-native solutions in this hands‑on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, and debug reusable cloud capabilities.
- Design, code, test, and integrate OCI infrastructure as code solutions
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including other Cloud One environment teams, development, operations, security, and product management
- Use and drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and related automation such as GitLab pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and automated testing
- Implement/integrate with identity and access management solutions, security monitoring frameworks, and other multi‑cloud common services
- Support customer onboarding and implement a consistent pathway to cloud adoption
- Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- US citizenship required.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2) within 6 months of hire
- Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in a customer‑facing position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with OCI console, services, and infrastructure as code automation, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture
