Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an OCS Engineer - NY PE, located in New York. The responsibilities include designing, analyzing, and supervising the implementation of overhead contact systems (OCS) for electrified transit projects. The OCS Engineer will conduct field assessments, provide OCS design, technical guidance, create detailed reports, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address project challenges and deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in OCS engineering, traction power systems, and their integration into electrified transit projects
  • Proficiency in the design and analysis OCS and related subsystems
  • Strong understanding in rail systems including track, comms, SCADA, train control, and AC/DC substations
  • Hands-on experience with field assessments, technical reporting, and compliance monitoring
  • Capability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder communications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification in New York is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Experience with BIM and virtual reality modeling is a plus
