Role: Operational Risk Consultant

Type: 6 month contract

Location: Hybrid 2x/week in Toronto or Guelph

Rate: $35-$40/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Operational Risk Consultant to support a risk management function on a contract basis. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on expertise in conducting risk assessments, testing controls, and applying core operational risk concepts in a practical, business‑focused way. This role is suited for someone who can quickly integrate into an existing framework, identify gaps, and strengthen risk practices with minimal oversight.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of experience within risk management (this can be from either compliance, risk or audit)
• Post secondary degree in Business, Law, IT, Compliance, or Risk Management
• Strong knowledge of risk management industry standards and methodologies
• Very strong written and communication skills

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Insurance or Finance
