Operational Risk Management Specialist

• Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in executing management oversight

• Assist in the design, rollout, and maintenance of the policy governance framework

• Support the development and implementation of joint venture (JV) oversight SOPs in collaboration with the Joint Venture Manager Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking an Operational Risk Specialist for a leading Singapore-based asset management company to ensure soundness of our operating environment and operational resilience of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in executing management oversight and delegated approval activities in line with the governance framework.

• Assist in the design, rollout, and maintenance of the policy governance framework, including implementation tracking, stakeholder communication, BAU protocols, policy structure review, repository gatekeeping, training support, and adherence monitoring.

• Support the development and implementation of joint venture (JV) oversight SOPs in collaboration with the Joint Venture Manager (1st Line).

• Assist in the oversight and monitoring of service providers related to model and user-developed application risks.

• Support risk monitoring for critical transformation initiatives, including review of RAID logs.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening and embedding risk culture across the organization.

• Support the review, challenge, and quality assurance of risk reports prior to stakeholder circulation.

• Assist with ad-hoc operational risk management activities as assigned by the Head of ERM. Requirements:

• At least 3 years of working experience in banks or financial institutions, with good understanding of operational risk, banking products and processes.

• Experience in risk and control related roles in first, second or third lines of defence and familiar with operational risk management concepts and tools.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a good risk sense and affinity to using data to solve problems.

• Strong written English with experience in drafting risk reports, policies, and documentation. We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
