Position Overview The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Operational Risk & Resilience team. This individual will play a key role in supporting and executing the firm’s global operational risk framework, working closely with business, risk, and control functions to strengthen processes and mitigate risk.
This position offers broad exposure across multiple business lines and requires regular interaction with senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Risk Management
- Support the ongoing development, implementation, and enhancement of the operational risk framework
- Identify, assess, and investigate operational risk events, including root cause analysis and control evaluation
- Monitor trends and perform scenario analysis to assess potential risk exposures
Risk Assessment & Controls
- Conduct and maintain risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) across business and support functions
- Identify control gaps and partner with stakeholders to implement remediation plans
- Perform deep-dive reviews on significant risk events and provide recommendations to strengthen controls
Governance & Reporting
- Prepare and deliver operational risk reporting for senior management and governance committees
- Support regulatory-related requests and ensure alignment with applicable risk and resilience standards
- Produce ad hoc analysis and reporting for key stakeholders
Third-Party & Business Resilience
- Support risk assessments of third-party relationships and oversee due diligence processes
- Contribute to business continuity and resilience planning initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with teams across investment, operations, technology, legal, and compliance functions
- Support training and adoption of risk management tools and processes
- Act as a liaison across global teams on operational risk matters
Must Have
- 5-8 years of experience in operational risk, enterprise risk, or a related function within financial services
- Familiarity with operational risk frameworks, governance structures, and control environments
- Understanding of regulatory expectations related to operational risk and resilience
- Experience working across multiple business lines and products preferred
- Exposure to risk management systems or tools is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
