Job Description

Who We Are

Pacagen (pacagen.com) is a house of brands focused on disrupting consumer industries through biotechnology-backed products built by our in-house research lab. We are actively incubating new technologies in the immune, inflammation, and consumer health spaces. Our first brand helps with allergies to pets and dust that >70K customers use in our second year on the market. Our second brand is launching in the summer of 2026.

We are a venture-funded startup and founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built and sold nine-figure businesses before. We are backed by some of the best venture firms in the world (Maveron, Khosla Ventures, Mars) and are building a world-class team together to transform the consumer health industry as we know it.

We are seeking a proactive, passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team and ensure the foundational systems of the Company run with surgical precision. You will work directly with our co-founders, who built one of the fastest-growing science-backed beauty brands of all time, and provide high-level administrative support to our leadership team. You will also assist with performance marketing efforts, designing captivating campaigns and shaping our customer experience firsthand.

Discretion, sound judgement, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential.

The best candidate for this role has a proven track record for clear communication, proactive problem solving, and a deep sense of ownership over all their endeavors. Our team is highly collaborative, so a successful team member will lead with curiosity, humility, and a desire to learn. This role is for someone who actively enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to take on larger responsibilities as the Company grows rapidly.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage technology and available tools to streamline and improve administrative processes
  • Plan and coordinate events as needed, acting as the primary point of contact for logistics, guests, venues, etc.
  • Lead tax efforts in state filings, annual audits, and ensure the Company remains in good standing with regulatory authorities
  • Oversee expenses and budgeting across the Company, finding areas to cut unnecessary expenses
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies across organic and paid channels (i.e. Meta, Google, Email Marketing) to raise brand awareness and enable rapid scaling
  • Help shape brand positioning, messaging, and future product launch plans
  • High-level personal task management to ensure the leadership team’s mental overhead is minimized

Requirements:

  • BS or BA in any field, with a proven track-record of high academic performance
  • Fast learner with a can-do attitude and high efficiency (no prior marketing or product experience required, but you must be motivated to learn quickly)
  • Strong attention to detail with proven track record of high quality work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize efficiently, manage multiple demands, and meet tight deadlines
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve self professionally
  • Doesn’t take “good enough” as an answer
  • Passion for wellness, consumer health, or science-backed products

Why work with us?

We’re building a new kind of consumer biotech company, combining cutting-edge science with best-in-class branding and storytelling. Our goal is not just to create effective products, but to build brands people genuinely trust and love.

You’ll be working alongside a small, high-performing team with experience building and scaling successful companies. This is a place where strong thinkers and builders can have an outsized impact, grow quickly, and take on meaningful ownership.

Why NOT work with us?

Two reasons

  • You’ll notice that the phrase “fast-paced” is in this job description multiple times. Building an amazing, profitable company in a few years is not easy and we aren’t here to pretend like it is (believe us, we’ve done this before). Startups can be stressful and are not made for everyone, but on the flip-side extremely rewarding. The best performers get a career boost more drastic than anything they could imagine, but not everyone is fit for the job.
  • We sincerely believe in our mission to improve our customer’s quality of life and deliver high-efficacy, cutting-edge products. Our team includes world-class scientists, experienced product developers, and avid product-lovers, all laser focused on delivering the best products on the market. If this doesn’t light you up, this role may not be the right fit.
