Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Database Engineer to join the Data Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on engineering, deploying, and automating Oracle database platforms in cloud environments (AWS & Azure).
This is NOT a traditional DBA role — we are looking for a cloud engineer with strong Oracle expertise who can build and automate scalable database platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Oracle database platforms on AWS and Azure
- Build and manage cloud infrastructure (EC2, VM deployments)
- Automate database deployments using Terraform / CloudFormation
- Develop shell scripts and automation workflows for Oracle tools
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Artifactory
- Enable automation for Oracle features (OEM, auditing, observer, etc.)
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance deployment pipelines
- Support highly available and scalable database environments (RAC, HA/DR)
- Participate in production support and on-call rotations
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Oracle Database Engineering (NOT just DBA)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle on AWS (EC2, cloud deployments)
- Experience building cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Expertise in Terraform (or OpenTofu) and CloudFormation
- Strong scripting skills (Shell scripting mandatory)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, OEM
- Experience in automation and DevOps practices

- Python scripting
- Experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OTEL)
- Exposure to Azure cloud
- Experience in large enterprise environments
