The Junior Risk Officer supports TMF’s Regulated Services teams in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of client and internal risk management frameworks for regulated entities. The role provides practical, structured support across risk assessments, risk registers, regulatory reporting inputs, and governance documentation, under the oversight of senior risk and compliance professionals.
Support the Head of Regulated Services in delivering outsourced risk services for regulated client entities, while progressively developing a portfolio of regulated clients and providing backup support as required.
This role will also support individuals performing controlled functions in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Risk Framework & Documentation Support-
▪ Maintain risk management frameworks, risk policies, and procedures for regulated client entities, in line with applicable FSRA / DFSA / QFCRA expectations.
▪ Maintain risk registers, including periodic reviews, updates, and tracking of mitigating actions.
▪ Document emerging risks, control gaps, and residual risk assessments identified through ongoing monitoring and reviews.
Risk Assessments & Monitoring-
▪ Execute risk assessments (including entity-wide, operational, governance, outsourcing, and regulatory risk assessments) under senior oversight.
▪ Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk dashboards for internal and client reporting.
▪ Track remediation actions and follow up with internal teams and clients to support timely closure.
Regulatory & Governance Support.
▪ Prepare risk-related inputs for Board, Risk Committee, and senior management reporting under senior guidance.
▪ Support regulatory submissions and reviews by preparing risk documentation (e.g., ICAAP / IRAP supporting materials, where applicable).
▪ Maintain organised records to support regulatory inspections, audits, and supervisory interactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration-
▪ Coordinate with Compliance, AML, Finance, and Corporate Services teams to ensure risk considerations are appropriately reflected in regulated service deliverables.
▪ Support senior risk officers and the Head of Regulated Services on ad-hoc risk reviews, investigations, and thematic exercises as required.
Risk Culture & Awareness-
▪ Promote a strong risk culture through accurate documentation, timely escalation, and adherence to TMF Group risk policies.
▪ Draft risk awareness and training materials for internal teams or clients, as directed.

KEY REQURIREMENTS:
▪ Working towards professional risk qualifications such as ISO31000 / Institute of Risk Management UK (or equivalent)
▪ 1–3 years’ experience in risk, compliance, audit, governance, or regulatory support roles, ideally within:
o Professional services
o Fiduciary / corporate services
o Regulated financial services environments
▪ Exposure to regulated entities (ADGM, DIFC, QFC or equivalent international jurisdictions) is strongly preferred.
▪ Working understanding of:
o Enterprise and operational risk management frameworks
o Risk registers, controls, and mitigation tracking
o Regulatory governance expectations (Board, committees, reporting)
▪ Familiarity with FSRA / DFSA / QFCRA style supervisory expectations is an advantage but not mandatory.
