Responsibilities
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for department systems and integration projects.
- Reconcile financial accounts and reports, swiftly resolving discrepancies to maintain controls.
- Prepare or review financial statements, reports, and analyses, addressing issues as they arise.
- Manage the accrual process, journal entries, and debit/credit memos, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Approve and release invoices according to accounting procedures.
- Prepare or review vendor files and documentation for payments.
- Communicate with construction and professional services vendors as needed.
- Assist in processing general contractor's payment analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with the accounting team on bond-related matters.
- Ensure bond compliance in financial accounting, reporting, and invoice payments.
- Complete bond-related assignments as directed by the manager.
Requirements • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields.
- Proficiency in business enterprise or accounting systems.
- Experience with historical trend analysis and monthly financial reporting.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Effective communication and presentation skills across organizational levels.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to lead projects to successful completion.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
Preferences • Experience with bond programs.
- Experience in construction programs.
- Familiarity with Costpoint and/or Proliance.
