Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting scientific experiments, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to advancing our projects in animal physiology, microbiology, molecular biology, and histology, all while adhering to strict GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations. Duties
- Prepare, process, and analyze biological samples using established laboratory techniques across various disciplines such as microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and clinical testing.
- Conduct routine quality control assessments to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results in compliance with GLP, CGMP, and FDA standards.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, data collection, and laboratory procedures using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Assist in the development and validation of new laboratory methods and protocols for research purposes.
- Support research & development initiatives by performing experiments related to animal physiology and veterinary terminology.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biological materials following safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with team members on data analysis, troubleshooting laboratory techniques, and improving overall laboratory workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory environment with a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of GLP, CGMP, FDA regulations, microbiology practices, histology processes, molecular biology methods, and veterinary terminology.
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry and record keeping.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret experimental data accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with solid math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Effective communication skills for documenting procedures and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, chemistry, veterinary sciences or related fields; relevant laboratory experience is highly preferred.
