Team Summary
The Global Operating Platform in APAC supports the end-to-end delivery and oversight of asset management, personal wealth, and private equity operations across the Asia-Pacific region. It provides a unified, scalable operational process to enable business growth, operational efficiency, and risk management, while ensuring alignment with global standards and regional requirements. The Operational Platform acts as a key enabler for innovation, digitalisation, and process transformation, working closely with global and regional teams to deliver best-in-class client and business outcomes.
What you will do:
This role will form a part of our senior member bench strength, working closely with the Head of Operations APAC and the regional management team to drive key initiatives, with responsibilities including but not limited to:
Operational Risk & Governance
- Lead the development and implementation of robust operational risk management and control frameworks, identifying and addressing risks related to global business processes and transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to establish effective controls, mitigation strategies, and monitoring mechanisms that align with both regulatory requirements and organizational standards
Operational Risk Event Management
- Lead the resolution of high-priority risk events, serving as the escalation point for operational issues and providing clear, calm leadership during critical situations
- Drive effective error resolution by collaborating with internal teams, technology, and external providers, embedding lessons learned into future processes and ensuring robust remediation planning that supports both immediate and long-term operational stability
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement in incident management by regularly reviewing and refining incident response protocols, while maintaining transparent communication with senior management, stakeholders, and impacted teams
Regional Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Delivery:
- Develop a deep understanding of regional service offerings, systems, and operational practices across markets including Hong Kong, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China
- Build and maintain effective relationships with local stakeholders, translating global strategies into region-specific plans and KPIs, and ensuring streamlined coordination and delivery of operational objectives that reflect local requirements
- Work closely with the Head of Operation Platform, senior management across APAC, and global functional teams to define, align and deliver on regional initiatives
- Drive the execution of transformation projects by maintaining a unified approach to operational challenges and opportunities, demonstrating the ability to bridge gaps and respond to evolving business needs with agility and initiative.
Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of target operating models, business processes, and governance structures across regions
- Address complex operational challenges with innovative and practical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices

We are looking for an adaptable, forward-thinking individual with a strong record in risk management, operational excellence, and prior experience operating within a regional remit, ideally within the asset management, personal wealth, or private equity sectors.
The ideal candidate excels at both strategic planning and detailed execution, demonstrating robust problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving emerging risks and dependencies. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to drive key initiatives, ensure governance, and deliver results in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Key Requirements
- Strong expertise in operational risk management, including application of risk frameworks and development of mitigation strategies
- Significant experience in managing operations, or change, within global or regional functions in asset management or related sectors. Role will support operational teams delivering services, and managing risks, across onboarding, transactions services, fund operations and governance
- Track record in supporting business transformation, operating model design, and large-scale change initiatives in complex, matrixed organisations
- Proven ability to partner with management and cross-functional teams, delivering collaborative and impactful outcomes
- Demonstrated versatility with capacity to balance in-depth analytical work with high-level strategic decision-making
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and executive-level communication abilities
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in dynamic, ambiguous
