Job Title: PLC and SCADA Engineer (Full-Time, Remote)

Key Responsibilities
- PLC and SCADA System Design: Design and develop PLC and SCADA systems based on project requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Programming and Configuration: Develop PLC and SCADA programs using industry-standard languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagrams. Configure SCADA software for data acquisition, monitoring, and control purposes.
- System Integration: Integrate PLC and SCADA systems with other automation components such as HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces), sensors, actuators, and industrial networks (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
- Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing of PLC and SCADA systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance. Assist with system commissioning activities both remotely and on-site as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for PLC and SCADA systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation including system architecture diagrams, wiring schematics, user manuals, and test reports. Maintain accurate records of system configurations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Training and Support: Deliver training sessions and technical workshops to end-users and stakeholders on the operation and maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure optimal system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in PLC and SCADA system design, programming, and implementation.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and SCADA software platforms, including Rockwell and Wonderware.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation principles, protocols, and standards (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, OPC).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating high motivation and self-sufficiency.
- Familiarity with hardware components such as PLCs (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley), RTUs (Remote Terminal Units), and industrial communication networks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- Previous experience working in a remote role is a plus.
