Role Description

This is a temporary on-site position for a PLC Controls Engineer located in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The role involves designing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems. Responsibilities also include diagnosing and resolving system issues, performing system upgrades and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, as well as traveling to project sites, may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems
• Strong knowledge in control system design, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Experience with industrial protocols and communication systems such as Ethernet/IP, and Profinet
• Ability to work with system integrators, manufacturers, and automation environments
• Competency in tools and software relevant to automation projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
