Overview A global intelligence and advisory firm is currently looking for a Political Risk Advisory Analyst to join its New York-based team. The firm’s geopolitical-economic-technological forecasting platform provides business and government leaders foresight and impact analysis on the most market-moving global issues. As a Political Risk Advisory Analyst, you will conduct in-depth analysis, primary research, engagements with the world’s top experts and leaders, and innovative forecasting on a wide range of geopolitical, macroeconomic, and technological issues. This is a dynamic and exciting position in which you will work with the analyst team to understand clients’ questions and then lead the process to discover the answers. Key Responsibilities You will have a unique opportunity to become deeply engaged in major global issues, work directly with leaders of the world’s most influential companies, and build a valuable skill set by undertaking a range of crucial responsibilities, including: Briefing senior executives on geopolitical forecasts Interpreting major global issues and events that impacts clients Identifying and engaging with the world’s leading subject matter experts and recently former senior government officials Working within and further developing the firm’s proprietary scenario-generation methodology Tracking developments on major global issues using a range of data sources Monitoring and regularly reporting on complex political, economic, market, and security dynamics in dynamic countries and sectors Determining direct impact to clients of potential futures of major global issues Writing, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting complex findings at very high standards and with quick turnaround deadlines Building slides to accompany presentations (Keynote) Skills, Knowledge & Experience This is an entry-level position for recent or 2026 graduates (undergrad or masters). The firm is prioritizing individuals with expertise in 1) macroeconomics, 2) conflict and kinetic activity, and/or 3) European politics, economics, and security dynamics. Ideal candidates will have an academic focus in international relations, public policy, history, or a similar discipline. Ideal candidates will also have previous internship experience in policy, consulting, risk analysis, sell-side research, government, or international business. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in economic issues, foreign affairs, and international business. Candidates must have: Subject knowledge of a wide range of geopolitical topics Excellent writing skills and ability to meet rapid turnaround deadlines for written content Strong OSINT and primary source research capabilities Ability to quickly understand new and complex topics Fluency with AI Interview skills for conversations with government leaders and subject matter experts A personal and work history that shows honesty, discipline, initiative, creativity and a very strong intellect A minimum GPA of 3.75 in college and/or grad school from a top 1
