Job Description

About InnoSphere Partners

InnoSphere Partners is a global consulting and research firm specializing in trade corridor design, infrastructure strategy, and cross-border economic integration. We work with governments, port authorities, logistics operators, and international agencies to strengthen connectivity, reduce logistics friction, and foster resilient trade systems in high-growth regions.

Role Overview

We are hiring a

Port Systems Analyst

to support advisory work focused on port competitiveness, trade corridor efficiency, logistics performance, and the operational systems that shape cross-border trade. This role is designed for candidates who understand ports not only as infrastructure assets, but as

strategic gateways within wider trade, customs, industrial, and logistics ecosystems

.

Based in Dubai, the Analyst will contribute to structured research outputs, corridor diagnostics, benchmarking studies, and advisory materials for public institutions, port authorities, logistics stakeholders, and development partners. The work will frequently intersect with port performance, terminal operations, customs and border procedures, free zone integration, shipping connectivity, hinterland access, and trade facilitation reforms.

You will play a key role in translating port and trade system data into

clear operational and strategic insights

—helping stakeholders understand where bottlenecks exist, how corridor performance can be improved, and which reforms or investments can strengthen trade competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze port and trade corridor performance, including terminal efficiency, vessel turnaround, cargo dwell time, hinterland connectivity, and customs clearance dynamics
  • Produce structured

port competitiveness briefs, corridor diagnostics, and trade facilitation assessments

for advisory projects

  • Benchmark port systems, logistics corridors, free zones, and trade gateways using operational, regulatory, and infrastructure indicators
  • Assess how customs procedures, border management, documentation requirements, and regulatory frameworks affect cargo movement and trade efficiency
  • Map end-to-end trade flows across ports, inland logistics nodes, free zones, industrial areas, and cross-border corridors
  • Identify bottlenecks affecting port throughput, cargo handling, storage capacity, multimodal connectivity, and trade processing times
  • Support advisory materials on port modernization, logistics performance improvement, free zone strategy, and trade facilitation reform
  • Engage with port authorities, terminal operators, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs stakeholders, and development partners through structured, decision-ready outputs
  • Contribute to dashboards and KPI frameworks for port performance, corridor efficiency, bottleneck monitoring, and trade competitiveness
  • Support rapid analysis of trade disruptions, congestion events, routing shifts, and regulatory changes affecting port and logistics systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management, Transport Planning, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in port research, logistics advisory, trade facilitation, customs analysis, maritime transport, or infrastructure consulting
  • Strong understanding of port operations, terminal performance, shipping connectivity, cargo flows, and trade corridor systems
  • Familiarity with customs modernization, free zones, border procedures, logistics KPIs, and trade facilitation reforms is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with port authorities, logistics operators, DFIs, donor-funded programs, government institutions, or infrastructure-focused initiatives is a plus
  • Excellent analytical writing skills with the ability to translate operational and regulatory complexity into practical recommendations
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus
