Title : Portfolio Manager
Contract : 12 months
Location : Burbank, CA (4 days onsite)
Description
The Portfolio Manager role provides strategic and tactical support for creating and sustaining effective technology business demand and resource management processes across Enterprise Technology. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for providing analysis, planning support and data insights to align service and products to project, program, resource, and application portfolios.
You will collaborate with teammates, leaders, and stakeholders from Technology, business and finance to ensure alignment with organizational strategies and business outcomes.
The position requires interaction with cross-functional departments, collaboration across other technology portfolios, and excellent verbal and written communication and relationship management skills.
Responsibilities
- Supporting all aspects of technology portfolio management, including project ideation, scoping, prioritisation, approval and activation; as well as service/product/application cost transparency support within Enterprise Technology
- May conduct ongoing portfolio review meetings with executives to establish a prioritised portfolio
- Define, establish, and implement enhancements to portfolio process definition, procedural documentation, tool requirements and end user training—update processes
- Develop and foster relationships and engagement models with Enterprise Technology leaders, PMO, service/product/application owners, and external partners
- Exercise critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail
- Collaborate, analyze portfolio data and deliver portfolio metrics and analytic reporting with Portfolio and Business Operations Analysts
- Drive and own completion of special projects (10%)
- Deliver on ad-hoc requests as required (10%)
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years combined IT experience in portfolio, demand, or operational finance strongly preferred
- Experience supporting a large technology portfolio of project and operational costs with multiple business stakeholders
- Demonstrable work experience with reporting and analytics.
- Visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel visualizations)
- Demonstrable experience with a PPM tool (e.g., Clarity, Planview, Align) preferred
- Ability to present materials to management to drive decision making (PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization
- Exhibits critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical capabilities with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment with consistent change
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office online and collaboration tools (MUST HAVE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications desired > Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Resource Management experience is a plus
- AI experience is a plus
Education
- BS STEM +5 years of relevant experience
The estimated pay range for this position is USD $75.00/hr - USD $84.50/hr.
