The Portfolio Manager, Global Infrastructure Investments role will play a leadership role in the ongoing investment management of the RBC Global Infrastructure Fund, which is a key component of the Private Markets platform.
Working with and reporting to the Head, Global Infrastructure Investments, the successful candidate will have experience with all aspects of the private infrastructure investment lifecycle: developing strategy, portfolio design and management, deal sourcing/origination, due diligence, deal execution, valuation, investment management, and reporting.
What will you do?
Global Infrastructure Fund (90%)
- To manage and develop a global professional network to assist in deal sourcing and investment management activities
- To identify attractive investment opportunities with aligned partners, and to execute on those opportunities, having considered portfolio fit and risk-return benefits
- To support co-investment partners in value-creation opportunities and working with Boards of Directors and C-level executive management within investee companies.
- To ensure accurate and concise communications internally among RBC GAM, and externally to the fund’s clients
Private Markets Strategy (10%)
- To support the development and management of the Private Market investment platform, which includes Real Estate, Mortgages, Infrastructure, and which may expand to include other strategies in the future

What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Exceptional integrity and a recognized reputation in infrastructure investments
- A minimum of 10 years of direct investing experience in infrastructure
- Broad exposure to all asset classes within infrastructure
- A proven track record demonstrating investment acumen
- Strong communications skills and high intellectual curiosity
- Team-oriented and collaborative leadership style that results in an ability to work effectively within a global organization
- Experience with international travel
- An undergraduate degree in finance, business, engineering or science discipline
- CFA or CIM designation
Nice to Have
- A post-graduate degree in business, finance or economics
- Global investment experience and a global professional network
- Experience within an investment fund platform including exposure to fund-raising and client-facing engagements
- Skill in managing co-ownership relationships and strategic partnerships
