The Role
As a Portfolio Manager specializing in Multi-Asset, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of diversified portfolios. You will work closely with senior leadership and the Investment Committee to translate macroeconomic views into actionable strategies across equities and fixed income. Your expertise will be critical in navigating complex market environments to achieve optimal risk-adjusted returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Construction: Develop and implement sophisticated investment strategies. Manage diversified portfolios, balancing risk and return objectives while identifying opportunities across asset classes.
- Research & Analysis: Leverage fundamental and quantitative analysis to support investment decisions. Monitor macroeconomic trends, market developments, and sector performance to present clear recommendations on portfolio positioning.
- Performance Monitoring: Oversee portfolio performance and risk exposures to ensure consistency with investment guidelines. Prepare bi-weekly market updates and performance reports, providing actionable insights to stakeholders and recommending tactical adjustments as needed.
- Governance: Ensure all investment activities comply with internal policies, MAS regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Maintain rigorous documentation of investment decisions for audit purposes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in investment management, with a strong track record in both equities and fixed income.
- Expertise: Demonstrated ability to independently conduct asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk hedging.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Bloomberg PORT or BlackRock Aladdin is essential.
- Track Record: Candidates with a GIPS-compliant performance record or third-party audited track record will be highly preferred.
- Mindset: Strong market insight with cross-cycle analytical capability. You must be comfortable with independent investment decision-making and able to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Background: Experience within mid- to large-sized financial institutions (banks, asset managers, pension funds, or sovereign wealth funds) is preferred. Familiarity with established investment research frameworks, compliance processes, and risk management systems is a must.
- Language: Proficient in Mandarin will be an added advantage
