Role Overview
A sizeable family office is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager or Senior Analyst to support the Founder and Chief Investment Officer within a long-only global technology mandate. The role is research-intensive and offers close involvement in idea generation, portfolio management, and long-term capital allocation across global public markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct deep fundamental research on global technology companies, including software, internet, semiconductors, hardware, and emerging technology themes
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses
- Generate differentiated investment ideas aligned with a long-only, high-conviction approach
- Support portfolio construction, position sizing, and ongoing risk assessment
- Monitor existing holdings and provide updates on earnings, competitive dynamics, and key catalysts
- Engage with company management teams, industry participants, and external research providers
- Prepare clear, concise investment memos and presentations for internal discussion
- Work closely with the Founder and CIO to refine investment theses and decision-making
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in equity investing or research
- Background from either the buy-side or sell-side, with strong exposure to technology equities
- Experience in long-only investing is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to analyze complex business models and fast‑evolving technology sectors
- Strong investment judgment, independent thinking, and attention to detail
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high‑responsibility environment
Language & Communication
- Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken and written)
- Able to clearly articulate investment views to senior stakeholders
