Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics – Multi-Asset Investment Manager (Credit, Real Estate, Distressed)

A growing alternative investment manager is looking to hire into its Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics team. The firm deploys capital across credit, real estate, and distressed strategies, managing a sophisticated portfolio of assets across multiple geographies and structures.

This is a broad and commercial role, sitting at the intersection of investment, finance, and data. You’ll work closely with the deal and asset management teams to track fund performance, analyse portfolio risk and returns, and provide live insights to the investment committee.

As the firm continues to raise capital and scale across strategies, the role offers genuine visibility and the opportunity to develop investment-grade reporting and decision-making tools from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance portfolio monitoring across a range of investments—credit, real estate equity, special situations, and distressed assets.

• Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility into fund and asset performance.

• Support the investment team in tracking KPIs, covenant breaches, valuation metrics, and liquidity across the portfolio.

• Partner with the asset management and finance teams on post-deal analysis, stress testing, and performance forecasting.

• Contribute to materials for investor reporting, board presentations, and internal strategy sessions.

Requirements

• A background in portfolio monitoring, credit analytics, or real assets finance, either in-house at a fund or from a relevant advisory environment.

• Strong financial modelling skills and confidence working with large datasets—familiarity with Excel, Power BI, or SQL is a plus.

• Exposure to closed-ended fund structures, and an understanding of cash flow dynamics and valuation concepts.

• Commercially minded, highly analytical, and comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communicator—able to translate complex data into actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
