We are currently looking to fill the role of Portfolio Risk Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Group (CREG). This individual will be responsible for evaluating, monitoring credit, and managing the portfolios of acquisition, value-add/bridge, and construction loans across diverse asset classes.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the RM to structure, underwrite, and oversee loans for commercial real estate that is not owner-occupied, in line with the Bank's set guidelines and regulations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, legal advisors, and internal business units, enhancing communication channels and ensuring seamless interactions between stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and drafting preliminary evaluation memos, formal loan endorsement memos, adjustments, yearly audits, and alterations in risk scoring.
  • The practice of consistent portfolio management involves observing financial reporting, verifying covenant compliance, and reassessing risk levels to make revisions as needed.
  • Comply with the Bank's regulatory and credit prerequisites.
  • Execute diverse administrative tasks and distinctive projects to maintain a clientele roster.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year undergraduate degree or a mix of educational attainment and directly relevant experience is a prerequisite.
  • A desired qualification for this role is extensive experience in commercial banking, ranging from five to ten years, and at least two years of direct portfolio management in commercial real estate.
  • Competent in underwriting assessments, Excel modeling techniques, and skilled in business writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competence in reviewing the financial documentation of individuals, companies, and investment funds.
  • Skilled in interpreting credit policy and procedures and adept at evaluating the risk factor of loans/credits accurately.
  • Devise plans to tackle problematic credit loans.
  • Exhibits knowledge in treasury functions and derivative instruments, illustrating skill in aligning the Bank's resources to deliver impactful full-service solutions to the organization.
