Portfolio Risk Manager
Job Description:
The Portfolio Risk Manager assists in appraising risk and overseeing the Bank's loan portfolio by delivering analytical insights and credit supervision, overseeing tasks such as yearly evaluations, renewals, compliance monitoring of loan covenants, and managing financial collections for designated loan portfolios. Engages with Relationship Managers to cultivate and advance a superior and financially beneficial loan portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Review pertinent facts to gauge the risk level and ascertain the appropriateness of a prospect or current credit as an acceptable risk.
- Keep track of credit risk trends at both customer and portfolio levels, and report any risk variations to management.
- Support Relationship Managers in client interactions to effectively determine and address the specific requirements and desires of each individual customer.
- Gather appropriate financial data to conduct accurate risk assessment and comprehensive underwriting evaluation.
- Handle client concerns and validate the correctness of information essential for loan underwriting.
- Analyze the cash movement on a global scale for commercial and individual clients, debtors, and those giving assurances.
- Generate financial reports such as spreadsheets, credit presentations, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models.
- Assist in structuring and pricing upcoming loans and renewals.
- Facilitate the process of finalizing loans and making bookings.
- Track industry trends closely and scrutinize specialized data to identify potential risks.
- Ensure timely issuance of 120-day renewal notifications and conduct thorough evaluations to validate adherence to loan agreements and annual assessments.
- Follow all prescribed regulations and fulfill necessary training obligations.
- Undertake all supplementary duties as provided.
Qualifications:
- Successful achievement of a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent field.
- Experience of at least two years is mandatory, while candidates with two to four years of experience are preferred.
- Skilled in conducting thorough analyses and credit underwriting evaluations.
- Possessing a goal-driven mindset and adept at finding solutions to problems.
- Proficient in creating and maintaining strong connections with others through interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in grammar, typing, and spelling aptitude.
- Shows adeptness in organizing and handling time proficiently.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook within the Microsoft Office Suite.
