Job Description for Portfolio Strategy Manager:
The Portfolio Strategy Manager is involved in evaluating risk and managing the Bank's loan portfolio by providing analytical support and credit oversight, overseeing tasks such as annual reviews, renewals, ensuring compliance with loan covenants, and managing financial collections for specific loan portfolios. Works alongside Relationship Managers to cultivate and strengthen a top-tier and profitable loan portfolio.
Responsibilities for Portfolio Strategy Manager:
- Examine pertinent data to calculate the risk assessment and to assess whether a prospect or existing credit presents an acceptable risk.
- Identify credit risk trends within individual customers and the portfolio, and provide management with updates on any changes in risk factors.
- Support Relationship Managers in client discussions to accurately discern and cater to the specific requirements of each client.
- Gather essential financial data to facilitate precise risk evaluation and comprehensive underwriting review.
- Responding to client queries and verifying the authenticity of all data for loan underwriting assessment.
- Investigate the worldwide cash flow with respect to commercial and individual prospects, borrowers, and guarantors.
- Produce financial spreads, credit presentation sheets, narratives, relationship summaries, and loan pricing models for analysis.
- Assist in structuring and pricing upcoming loans and renewals.
- Manage the coordination of activities related to closing and booking loans.
- Stay updated on industry trends and scrutinize data unique to the sector to detect possible risks.
- Send out letters for renewal every 120 days and conduct thorough assessments to ensure adherence to loan agreements and annual evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all essential regulations and training modules.
- Carry out any other assignments as instructed.
Qualifications for Portfolio Strategy Manager:
- Requirement for a bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
- The position requires a minimum of two years of experience, with a preference for candidates who have between two and four years of experience.
- Demonstrates excellence in credit underwriting through analytical prowess.
- Goal-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in interpersonal interactions and relationship development.
- Demonstrating adeptness in grammar, typing, and spelling proficiency.
- Demonstrates exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office software like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
