Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Power Plant Engineer to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of our power generation facility. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in power plant systems and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of power plant equipment including turbines, boilers, generators, and auxiliary systems.
  • Perform engineering analysis, root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions for operational issues.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs and outage planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, FERC, etc.).
  • Support plant upgrades, capital projects, and equipment commissioning.
  • Analyze plant performance data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to achieve plant goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in power plant operations (combined cycle, simple cycle, or renewable preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of power generation systems, thermodynamics, and electrical distribution.
  • Proficiency with engineering software and SCADA/DCS systems.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
