This role combines deep data engineering expertise with customer-facing storytelling, supporting enterprise clients evaluating modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, cloud ecosystems).
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex data architectures into business value.
Pre-Sales Engagement
- Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and define technical strategy
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer data architecture, use cases, and pain points
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations, workshops, and executive presentations
- Architect scalable solutions across:
- Data warehousing / lakehouse
- ETL / ELT pipelines
- Real-time analytics & AI/ML use cases
- Design and execute Proof of Concepts (POCs) and pilots
- Map customer requirements to platform capabilities
- Provide deep expertise in:
- SQL, Python, Spark
- Data modeling & pipeline design
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Advise on best practices for performance, cost optimization, and governance
- Support RFP/RFI responses
- Contribute to technical win strategy and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering on customer feedback
- Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders (Data Engineers, Architects, CIOs)
- Act as a long-term trusted advisor during evaluation cycles
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years in: Data Engineering / Data Architecture / Analytics Engineering OR Pre-Sales / Sales Engineering in data platforms
- Hands-on experience with at least one: Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse
- Strong knowledge of: Distributed data processing (Spark preferred) Data pipelines, ETL/ELT, orchestration tools
- Experience presenting to both technical and business audiences
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
Pay: $79,167.29 - $110,000.00 per year
