Key Responsibilities:
Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of complex satellite systems, from initial requirements definition to final deployment. Define system architectures, interfaces, and performance requirements for various satellite payloads and subsystems. Conduct trade studies, simulations, and analyses to optimize system design and mitigate risks. Oversee the integration and testing of satellite components and subsystems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and propulsion engineers. Develop and manage system-level verification and validation plans. Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and mission-specific requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and proposals. Actively participate in all aspects of a remote-first work environment, utilizing advanced collaboration tools and virtual communication platforms to drive project success and maintain strong team cohesion. This is a fully remote role requiring significant experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a strong focus on satellite design and development. A Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in satellite systems engineering, including hands-on experience with relevant software tools (e.g., STK, MATLAB, Python), is essential. Proven track record of leading complex aerospace projects and delivering successful outcomes is mandatory. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical. The ability to think strategically, manage technical risks, and effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences is crucial.
