We are looking for an innovative Principal Applied AI Engineer to spearhead the design and deployment of advanced AI and predictive models that revolutionize financial decision-making. This pivotal role combines cutting-edge machine learning, agentic AI, and software engineering with a strong commitment to building production-grade AI systems, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics.

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and a hands-on engineer, adept at architecting complex AI solutions and influencing organizational strategies for measurable business success. Your focus will be on driving advancements in Generative AI, fostering agentic AI evolution, and implementing best practices in modeling, deployment, and governance within a finance context.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agentic AI & Generative Systems: Lead the design and development of AI systems that automate finance workflows (e.g., forecasting, reporting, decision support). Implement multi-agent systems utilizing LLMs and orchestration patterns. Transform cutting-edge research into scalable, production-ready solutions while establishing responsible AI practices.
  • Predictive Modeling & Customer Behavior Forecasting: Drive the design of advanced predictive models, including time series forecasting and attrition prediction. Create interpretable models that inform retention strategies and financial planning, alongside thorough evaluation and monitoring systems.
  • Software Engineering & AI System Architecture: Develop scalable AI/ML systems with a strong emphasis on software engineering best practices. Oversee all stages of development from concept to production, ensuring robustness and scalability while integrating AI services into applications.
  • Operationalization & Model Lifecycle Leadership: Set and enforce MLOps best practices for AI system governance. Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and develop feature engineering strategies that capture critical signals.
  • Technical Leadership & Strategy: Define the technical direction for AI initiatives across the finance organization, leading cross-functional projects and mentoring data specialists while fostering stakeholder collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, software engineering, and AI with a strong background in deploying production systems.
  • A proven history of building scalable AI systems.
  • In-depth expertise in predictive modeling, particularly in time series forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python along with significant experience in ML/AI frameworks and system design.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and MLOps practices.
  • Experience working with financial data and compliance-oriented modeling.
  • A solid software engineering foundation, including API development and CI/CD practices.

Compensation:

This position offers a competitive salary, with a range anticipated between $225,200.00 - $396,000.00 depending on experience, qualifications, and location. This role may also include performance-based bonuses.
