Oracle Health Data Intelligence (HDI) is leading the charge in transforming healthcare with innovative data and AI solutions. We're seeking a highly skilled individual contributor to join our team in the USA. This role focuses on leveraging advanced machine learning techniques – including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI agents – to address complex healthcare challenges and drive operational excellence through data and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions focused on GenAI and LLM applications for healthcare, including architecting AI agents that automate complex workflows and ensuring robust integration with healthcare datasets.
- Generative AI & LLM Innovation: Develop and fine-tune LLMs for healthcare-specific use cases, apply generative AI to synthesize insights from multi-modal data, and explore reinforcement learning and human feedback approaches for enhanced model performance.
- Solution Development: Design intelligent AI agents to automate tasks such as clinical document generation and chart reviews while overseeing scalable pipeline creation that maintains data privacy and security (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST compliance).
- Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including healthcare providers and engineers—to align AI initiatives with business objectives, serving as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Performance Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize LLM performance for real-time applications in healthcare environments and implement monitoring frameworks to ensure quality benchmarks.
- Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging GenAI, LLM, and AI agent trends, publish findings, present at industry conferences, and mentor junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML with a strong focus on GenAI, LLMs, or AI agent development. Proven track record in deploying and scaling production-grade solutions, especially within healthcare or regulated industries.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in GenAI and LLM frameworks (e.g., OpenAI GPT, BERT), proficiency in fine-tuning domain-specific models, experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP), strong Python programming, and familiarity with libraries like Hugging Face Transformers, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare systems, EHR standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong problem-solving skills in dynamic, high-impact environments.
