Principal Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

Lead the design and engineering of complex electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution. Develop technical specifications for electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and generators. Create single-line diagrams, schematics, and control logic for power systems. Oversee the selection, procurement, and installation of electrical components and systems. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC), and regulations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers. Collaborate with project management and clients to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical engineering issues during design, construction, and operation. Stay current with advancements in power system technologies and best practices. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical power systems engineering. In-depth knowledge of power system analysis, design, protection, and controls. Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD). Experience with CAD software for electrical design.
