Role Overview

We’re looking for a senior technology leader to drive the design and evolution of our proprietary investment technology stack. This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of deep engineering, data, and capital deployment, building systems that directly drive investment outcomes.

You will build and scale Arki’s proprietary technology function from the ground up, with full ownership of the roadmap, architecture, and team structure. This includes hiring and developing a high-calibre engineering team.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with investment leadership and play a central role in shaping the firm’s investment engine.

This is not a standard engineering role — technology at Arki is a core driver of investment performance.

What You’ll Do

· Own the architecture of Arki’s proprietary investment platforms — from data ingestion to decision intelligence

· Design and build high-performance, scalable systems for market data processing, analytics, and internal workflows

· Partner closely with investment professionals to translate complex strategies into robust, production-grade technology

· Build and scale Arki’s proprietary technology function, including hiring and developing a high-calibre engineering team

· Define the long-term technology roadmap aligned with investment strategy

· Make key decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and build vs buy

· Lead the development of data pipelines, modelling infrastructure, and scalable data systems

· Set and drive technical direction, standards, and best practices across the platform

· Identify and build opportunities for technology-driven investment edge in sourcing, diligence, and execution

· Mentor and elevate a high-calibre, lean engineering team

What We’re Looking For

· 10–15 years of experience in software engineering, with a track record of leading systems and teams in high-performance environments

· Proven experience operating at Principal / Lead Engineer level or equivalent

· Experience in quant, trading, or investment platforms is a must

· Experience building and scaling engineering teams, ideally from 0→1

· Strong background in system design and data-intensive applications

· Experience building high-reliability systems

· Deep understanding of data architecture, APIs, and scalable infrastructure

· Strong proficiency in Python, with the ability to work across the broader application stack (e.g. TypeScript, Node.js) as needed

· Ability to operate end-to-end — from concept to production

· Strong product intuition and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
