This senior role is responsible for optimizing complex manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative engineering solutions, leveraging deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the analysis, design, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems. Develop and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to streamline operations. Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Manage capital expenditure projects related to process improvements and equipment upgrades. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed engineering solutions. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations. Ensure all engineering designs and implementations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. Qualifications: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and process improvement methodologies. Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects and drive significant operational improvements. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in simulation software, CAD tools, and data analysis software. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Experience in the **San Diego, California, US** region is advantageous.
