Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Principal Industrial Engineer to drive process optimization and efficiency improvements across their manufacturing and operational facilities in Denver, Colorado, US . This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex production systems, identifying bottlenecks, and designing and implementing solutions that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of leading large-scale engineering projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:

Lead the analysis and design of manufacturing processes, workflow, and equipment layout to optimize efficiency, throughput, and resource utilization. Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste. Conduct detailed time and motion studies, value stream mapping, and capacity planning to identify areas for enhancement. Design and implement data-driven solutions to solve complex operational challenges. Develop and maintain performance metrics (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and identify trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and R&D, to implement engineering solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance on industrial engineering principles and best practices. Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for engineering initiatives. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and automation solutions to improve operational performance. Mentor and develop junior industrial engineers and support staff. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations. Qualifications:

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on manufacturing environments. Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights. Experience with process simulation software, CAD tools, and statistical analysis software. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience in designing and optimizing supply chain and logistics operations is a plus. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
