Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing and industrial solutions, is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Industrial Process Engineer to join their prestigious team in Atlanta, Georgia, US . This senior role is pivotal in optimizing manufacturing processes, driving efficiency, and implementing innovative engineering solutions across our production facilities. You will be responsible for analyzing existing operations, identifying areas for improvement, and leading the design and implementation of new process technologies and automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced process control strategies, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and leadership skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality control, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration of process improvements and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Lead the analysis, design, and optimization of complex industrial manufacturing processes. Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Design and oversee the implementation of automation systems and new process technologies. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful scale-up and launch of new products and processes. Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and leadership. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in industrial engineering and manufacturing. Qualifications:

Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial process engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing operations. Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and process optimization techniques. Extensive experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools. Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and control systems in manufacturing environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive change initiatives. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is essential. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
