Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer to contribute to their operations in **Atlanta, Georgia, US**. This role is instrumental in optimizing production processes, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. The Principal Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes across various product lines. This involves leveraging deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, statistical process control (SPC), and other continuous improvement methodologies. You will be responsible for analyzing production data, identifying root causes of defects or inefficiencies, and developing innovative solutions to address them. Key responsibilities include defining process specifications, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), conducting process validation studies, and managing process change initiatives. You will also play a key role in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, material science, and quality management systems. Experience with automation, robotics, and data analytics in a manufacturing context is highly valued. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng., CMfgE) are highly desirable. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing process engineering within a complex production environment is expected.
