Principal Pharmaceutical Research Scientist

This senior role is critical for leading innovative research projects, contributing to the discovery and development of new drug candidates, and driving scientific advancements within the organization. Responsibilities:

Lead and conduct cutting-edge research projects focused on identifying and characterizing novel drug targets and developing innovative therapeutic modalities. Design and execute in vitro and in vivo experiments to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetic properties of drug candidates. Analyze complex experimental data, interpret results, and draw scientifically sound conclusions. Contribute to the development of research strategies and project plans, aligning with company goals and pipeline priorities. Prepare high-quality research reports, manuscripts for publication, and presentations for internal and external scientific audiences. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, biology, pharmacology, and toxicology. Mentor and guide junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment. Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, technological advancements, and industry trends in pharmaceutical research. Contribute to intellectual property strategy and patent filings. Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in research. Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field. Minimum of 8+ years of post-doctoral research experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Proven track record of leading successful research projects and delivering impactful scientific outcomes. Extensive experience in drug discovery and development, with a strong understanding of relevant therapeutic areas. Expertise in designing and performing a wide range of in vitro assays and/or in vivo models relevant to drug discovery. Excellent data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to publish research and present findings effectively. Experience with data visualization tools and statistical analysis software. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor and manage scientific teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote research setting.
