About the Role
Crypto.com Exchange serves tens of millions of users worldwide. Every user passes through a critical moment: the transition from a verified identity to a funded, active trader. The speed, clarity, and reliability of that transition drive trading volume, retention, and revenue. This role owns that transition end‑to‑end across five deeply connected areas.
KYC Approval
- Own the identity verification platform strategy, roadmap, and execution.
- Manage multi‑vendor IDV infrastructure, combat synthetic fraud, AI‑generated identity attacks, and keep the KYC experience fast and reassuring for users worldwide.
- Drive platform towards self‑serve configurability for product teams to adjust IDV requirements without engineering dependency.
- Deliver composable IDV components (document collection, liveness, facematch, motion) that can operate across product contexts.
- Lead anti‑fraud initiatives with Risk and IDV vendors, monitor false‑positive rates, and ensure fraud defense does not hurt real users.
- Evaluate and roadmap non‑doc verification and reusable identity solutions to reduce drop‑off while maintaining compliance.
- Use key market benchmarks (≈2‑minute KYC completion) for prioritisation.
- Ensure regional KYC variations are handled without confusing experiences.
Re‑KYC Experience
- Own the product experience for users required to re‑verify due to document expiry, regulatory triggers, risk‑profile changes, or periodic reviews.
- Design a low‑disruption journey with clear communication and minimal drop‑off, especially for users mid‑activity.
- Build communication cadence—advance notice, reminders, grace periods—designed as carefully as the UX itself.
- Reuse the same IDV infrastructure as new‑user KYC while accounting for the existing context.
- Track completion rates, restriction rates, and time from first prompt to approval as success metrics.
Deposit & Withdrawal(Fiat and Crypto)
Own the experience across all markets, gate‑keeping payment method availability and eligibility.
- Maintain a live country‑specific payment‑method matrix and roadmap.
- Define and enforce eligibility rules between KYC level and deposit/withdrawal methods.
- Own limits per method, tier, and market; manage user experience when a limit is hit.
- Onboard new payment methods end‑to‑end: evaluation, integration, compliance sign‑off, UX design.
- Own FX spread and processing‑fee transparency for users to understand costs.
- Own on‑chain deposit and withdrawal experience: network selection, confirmation times, address management, and withdrawal SLA.
- Target a deposit success rate above 92% across fiat and card on‑ramping.
First Trade & Activation Ladder
- Own progression from first deposit to first trade and beyond; the ladder does not end at a funded account.
- Work with the trading product team to remove barriers between a funded account and first executed trade.
- Own the onboarding reward ladder from KYC completion onward, coordinating with Campaigns; sign‑up rewards are handled by Discovery, Growth & Onboarding PM.
Localisation
- Own roadmap for new markets and local payment methods, coordinating with BD, Legal, and Engineering.
- Ensure the product reflects local preferences (e.g., GCash vs bank transfer) beyond translation.
- Track local payment rail coverage and deposit success rates as regional metrics.
AI‑Native Ways of Working
- Use agentic AI tools (Cursor, Claude, Gemini, LibreChat, Glean, etc.) with human‑in‑the‑loop practices to accelerate delivery.
- Champion AI‑native product development practices across your squad.
Requirements
- Experience: 6‑8+ years in Product Management;
proven experience at a high‑growth technology company (crypto, fintech, neo‑bank, multi‑asset broker);
strong track record on identity verification, fiat payment rails, deposit conversion, or compliance‑heavy product ownership.
- Technical fluency: understanding of payment gateway logic, ledger systems, API integration;
can discuss multi‑vendor IDV routing logic, liveness detection architecture, and composable IDV components; has experience building or overseeing APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling.
- Regulatory fluency: deep understanding of global KYC and AML standards (FATF, SCA, GDPR, local regulations); able to translate constraints into product requirements and push back on poor UX due to compliance.
- Data fluency: SQL proficiency; experience with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or equivalent for funnel analysis; able to quantify conversion, risk, and cost to drive trade‑offs.
- AI‑native workflow: demonstrable use of AI tools with human‑in‑the‑loop practices; required to use AI in product development.
- Execution & ownership: drives stakeholders to unblock, prioritise, and ship without waiting for direction; leads cross‑functional squads and influences Legal, Risk, and Compliance without formal authority; proven track record of shipping major onboarding or payments flows with measurable improvement
