Principal Research Scientist - Advanced Materials

Key Responsibilities: Lead independent research initiatives in advanced materials science, including polymers, composites, nanomaterials, or ceramics. Identify and pursue new research opportunities and funding sources. Author high-impact scientific publications and present research findings at leading conferences. Mentor and guide junior research scientists and postdoctoral fellows. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to facilitate technology transfer. Manage research project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Stay abreast of the latest advancements and emerging trends in materials science globally. Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through invention and patent applications. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the laboratory environment. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field. Minimum of 10 years of post-doctoral research experience in an academic or industrial R&D setting. Demonstrated expertise in at least one area of advanced materials (e.g., polymers, composites, nanomaterials, metallurgy, ceramics). Extensive experience with advanced characterization techniques (e.g., microscopy, spectroscopy, diffraction, thermal analysis). Proven track record of leading research projects, securing funding, and publishing in high-impact journals. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
