Responsibilities: Design and execute complex experimental strategies to identify and validate novel drug targets and lead compounds. Lead research projects from target identification through lead optimization, contributing significantly to preclinical development. Develop and optimize innovative biochemical, cellular, and in vivo assays. Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and draw robust conclusions. Prepare high-quality research reports, manuscripts for publication, and presentations for scientific conferences. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists. Mentor and guide junior scientists and research associates, fostering a collaborative and scientifically rigorous environment. Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, technological advancements, and competitive landscape in relevant therapeutic areas. Contribute to the strategic direction of the drug discovery pipeline. Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Immunology, or a related life science discipline. Minimum of 8-10 years of post-doctoral and industry experience in drug discovery, with a strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: small molecule discovery, biologics development, genomics, proteomics, or translational research. Extensive experience in designing, performing, and troubleshooting complex biological assays. Proven ability to independently design, manage, and execute research projects. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a team and present findings. Experience in mentoring junior researchers is highly desirable. Familiarity with bioinformatic tools and data analysis software. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug development is a plus.
