Job Description

Our client, a prominent pharmaceutical research organization based in Denver, Colorado, US , is seeking an exceptional Principal Research Scientist to spearhead groundbreaking drug discovery initiatives. This is a critical leadership role focused on identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets, designing and executing complex experiments, and contributing to the advancement of our pipeline from early-stage research through preclinical development. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in pharmacology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field, with a minimum of 10 years of post-doctoral experience in pharmaceutical R&D. You will be expected to leverage your extensive knowledge of disease biology, assay development, and innovative research methodologies to drive scientific progress. Responsibilities include leading a team of scientists, managing research projects, interpreting complex data sets, authoring high-impact publications and patent applications, and presenting findings at international conferences. The Principal Research Scientist will also play a key role in fostering collaborations with academic institutions and biotech partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven ability to solve challenging scientific problems, a strong publication record, and hands-on experience with state-of-the-art laboratory techniques. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and GMP/GLP principles is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of our therapeutic offerings and making a tangible difference in patient lives. Key Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science discipline. 10+ years of relevant industry experience in drug discovery and development. Demonstrated leadership experience managing research projects and scientific teams. Extensive experience in target identification, validation, and lead optimization. Proficiency in a broad range of molecular and cellular biology techniques. Strong track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and patent filings. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information effectively. Experience with biostatistics and data analysis software. Knowledge of GxP guidelines and regulatory affairs.
